Dear Dad, today Rider and I took you to Leadbetter State Park. Or, we attempted to. Apparently, dog people are not welcome at this park so we did not stay to explore. Which is fine, wildlife deserve to have an undisturbed area to exist, too. And sometimes plans aren’t just meant to be and must change. I will have to go another time when Rider isn’t with me. So we just went to a beach nearby instead for a little walk. I hope you enjoyed the cool water, Dad. It’s been so hot the last couple days. Lots of people were playing in the shallow waves to keep cool. A busy day on the beach. But we are breaking heat records here so it’s no surprise a lot of people flocked to where it is cooler. There was misty fog rising off the sand giving the beach a mysterious look. We did not stay very long because I did not want the sand to get too hot for Rider’s paws on the walk back to the car but it was a nice little outing.
