These berms made of rock were put in along this road to my place of employment a couple years ago to keep king tides from flooding the road. Yesterday the road definitely flooded. I had to move some logs off the road yesterday on my way home once the tide had retired back to where it belonged in the estuary. Some of the rock berm was damaged.
Being as this berm was put in place to prevent rising waters due to climate change, makes you think, doesn’t it?
To be fair, we were having a cyclone at the same time so there was storm surge on top of the king tide so I cannot tell you for certain if it climate change had a part in this.
