Apple Rescue

54°F, partly cloudy, NE 3 mph wind

It’s terribly nice weather so after loading the rig with trash to take to the dump tomorrow and helping with the delivery of the new homestead washing machine, I did laundry, and then decided to work outside a bit more in the woods clearing space around that wild apple tree and using the ferns and dead blackberry vines for filling more raised beds. I needed to anyway, staying busy helps with the PTSD anxiety when it gets really bad like it was yesterday.

I’m starting to make some progress.

I need to use my little chainsaw tomorrow to cut some red elderberry out of the way next. Even if it was the elderberry I wanted here, I would still have to remove these to give the apple as much space and sun as possible.

The orange arrow points to the main trunk of the apple.
A red elderberry. Unwanted. Need to clear some of these out.
Brought a bunch of this back from clearing to fill beds.
