Air Fryer 3 ingredient cake experiment

48°F, cloudy with light rain, NW 18 mph Wind, 9.69” ytd rain

After planting my new rose in the rain, as it came barefoot in the mail yesterday afternoon, I got a hunkering for something baked and something sweet.

So I decided to attempt a dump cake (one of the easiest cakes in the world to make when you want something quick and cheep) but try it in the air fryer since my bread baking experiment worked.

You don’t need a recipe for dump cake.

It’s fruit, boxed cake mix, and butter. You can do any kind of flavor combo you feel like.

I had a chocolate mix so I decided to use a small can of cherry pie filling.

I used the whole can of cherry pie filling and only used half the box of cake mix. About a 1/4 a stick of butter on top though I didn’t measure. I just put slices on top until it felt right. Next time I will melt it first to pour over the top maybe. Either way, it turned out good. 360° for 30 minutes did the trick.

BTW I found the round cake pan last Monday on sale at Joann’s since they are closing due to bankruptcy. It was the perfect size for my little cheapie air fryer.
