Things are popping in the first bed i planted this year. It’s one of the raised beds I filled a little bit ago. Despite getting into the 20’s still on the clear cloudless nights. it’s good to take note of what you can get away with early on. If things get too frosty I can throw a frost blanket over them but they should be fine. The peas were from seeds I saved from vines I grew at the farm, a couple years back.

It’s especially important to be ready for difficult weather, especially with the unpredictable climate change and now NOAA and the weather services under attack by the new regime of anti-science/anti-intelligence in place. We might not get warned of any difficult weather on the way in a timely manner. This will affect not only gardeners, but farmers, fishermen, firefighters, and just about anyone really. So you have to be ready to run out and protect your garden beds, your seedlings, and your animals at a moments notice if you see things start to get ugly.
