All over social media the folks in red states hit by these storms and relentless historical weather are still denying climate change. Why? They instead talk about biblical “end times” and humans controlling weather and other conspiracies. Or out right say “it’s just normal weather, nothing to see here” in an attempt to gaslight the world.

Is it because they know they are wrong and just don’t want to admit it or to take responsibility for it?

Is it that they work in careers that knowingly pollute and cause environmental harm?

I don’t know. But just because they deny it doesn’t mean it won’t affect them. In fact, it makes it more dangerous for them.
