Garlic tucked away in the garden.

50 cloves.

50 cloves should be more than enough. I grow ample for all the mouths here but few actually eat much of what I grow. So I’m getting to the point that I will worry more about myself and putting up enough for myself. There is plenty of produce I grow and if they don’t partake of it or learn to, then that’s on them. If I’m doing the work I’m for sure going to eat. But I only have so much energy in the day to work, homestead, grow and preserve. I work hard at it so I will make sure I have enough. I’m not sure the others actually have the will to survive if things go south.

If I were them I’d take the opportunity now to learn and preserve and to practice skills. You would think people who are obsessed with conspiracy theories would be on the wagon about learning these skills.

Here is the bed that will grow the garlic, I topped it off with some chopped leaves and grass. Gotta love the free mulch this time of year! Normally I wait to plant until November but an atmospheric river is going to be taking the stage and I don’t really want to be planting little cloves of garlic in the pouring rain.
