It’s been pretty freaking fantastic with the red skies in the morning lately. And they have been pretty true to the little ditty about red skies. It’s rained shortly after the red. It was lightly raining as it was red at the same time today.

I usually notice the glow of the forest to the west first as I’m letting out Rider to pee. The trees reflect the red light in a profoundly magical way that wakes you up before the caffeine can even get into your system. And then I turn to the east to greet the rising sun (even as it rains on me at the same time from a passing cloud).
This is life in a Pacific Northwest rainforest.
Beautiful sunrise!

When I read your blog post, I completely forgot to check out today’s sunset. It was already almost 7 p.m. when I realized it 🙂 Those photos you shared are gorgeous.. the sky looks amazing with those red and purplish hues. Wow… just wow. This beautiful world really knows how to remind us to appreciate life while we’re still here.
