@ 11 am. I’m not even bothering to jot the temperature down from the apps today. All the apps are saying different things and they all feel wrong. But the new weather station is arriving today. So things should get a lot more accurate. I got my watering done for the garden, attempting to giveContinueContinue reading “Feels hot and humid.”

Solar Electric Fencing
4:45 pm 61°F, cloudy, W 7 mph wind, trace rain It’s been sprinkling today but not enough to really register on the weather app. It was certainly damp when I was finishing up the electric fencing this morning. Other than the yellow poles, we already had the netting and I had the solar box fromContinueContinue reading “Solar Electric Fencing”
Over and Over
I’m seeing in all theses social media posts about the catastrophic floods, storms, and fires (all over the world but especially in the USA) where people still in so much denial. They blame “god and the end times.” They blame “government.” (Especially whomever they didn’t particularly like or vote for.) They blame 5G. (I literallyContinueContinue reading “Over and Over”
They Deny It But It Still Exists
3:30 pm 63°F, mostly cloudy, west 9 mph wind, 0” rain https://abc7.com/post/kerr-county-texas-flooding-least-13-dead-23-campers-unaccounted-amid-guadalupe-river/16956934/?fbclid=IwQ0xDSwLVNGFleHRuA2FlbQIxMQABHiHfMi5KQwLuf4VSfO568VM7klPYlem5znlNSpMFhC8AU_E-MbRt7OVL59Sv_aem_ULX_IR1yRjtFSIUogYZ7Lg#56mvpszk11wxt99fo3edcde32fbjjlqwk Flooding in Texes. Were they not warned because the weather service has been cut? Were they not warned because the weather patterns are not predictable (due to climate change they are refusing to admit to?) So many of us who are not afraidContinueContinue reading “They Deny It But It Still Exists”
It’s Been A While, Hasn’t it?
@5:45 AM 55*F, Mostly Cloudy, N 6 mph Wind, Monthly Rain 1.08″, Year to Date rain 37.20″ It seems the more I use my paper book journal the less I spend typing here but I am paying for this so I may as get back to regularly updating. Nothing much has changed other than theContinueContinue reading “It’s Been A While, Hasn’t it?”
Weather prediction less reliable since Muskrat cuts.
Since the illegal and downright idiotic cuts to NOAA and the weather service by the muskrat administration, the accuracy of weather forecasting has tumbled. Not only has the administration NOT saved money, but they are making living in America much more dangerous.
Have you seen the weather?!
48°F, Rain, 11.69” monthly, 29.6” YTD ,(wind? Isn’t registering) While the big crazy potential storm for my area only resulted in mediocre rain and a lightning show, the rest of the country’s weather has been insane. Fire in places not normal, twisters and giant hail, ice storms with some crazy damage. (example below) https://www.facebook.com/share/v/1BibqPZPc9/?mibextid=wwXIfr GladContinueContinue reading “Have you seen the weather?!”
A quick post.
I’m at work and forgot my charger at home so, it’s a very quick post concerning the crazy weather in the south east. https://www.facebook.com/share/v/18mHepMGoP/?mibextid=wwXIfr The above video from Facebook is quite startling. In Texas. It appears denying climate change is doing wonders to keep it from happening. <sarcasm>
Bed #1- cool season planting
50°F, mostly cloudy, S 12 mph wind, YTD rain 18.57” Things are popping in the first bed i planted this year. It’s one of the raised beds I filled a little bit ago. Despite getting into the 20’s still on the clear cloudless nights. it’s good to take note of what you can get awayContinueContinue reading “Bed #1- cool season planting”
Heat and Aging
52°F, hazy, S 10 mph wind (it was 70° today! Warm!!!) It was definitely spring like today. Portland broke a record for warmth yesterday. We have swung wildly a lot this winter. As far as more climate science, here is another sign that a warming climate is not a good thing for humans. https://www.science.org/doi/10.1126/sciadv.adr0616?utm_campaign=Science&utm_source=facebook&utm_medium=ownedSocial&fbclid=IwZXh0bgNhZW0CMTEAAR3ZM682JdCx4fDKzs3PyOuYNBChFkBb3QRAu_iWRt67LucoU030R7aiAjQ_aem_OwbldrJgMhL_deNOK_KfbQ ButContinueContinue reading “Heat and Aging”
