Made my way the other day to the dollar store. After the last time I went, being so disappointed in the products I’d wasted my money on at the time, as I was very broke so the cleaning supplies that instantly were junk made me rather mad. When you don’t have much at all and the stuff you can afford breaks before you can even use it, was very disheartening, I had told myself I wouldn’t ever go again. I lied to myself. I was next door at the pet store and since I was there anyway…. I took a look.
I think I found some things that were actually worth the $1.25 this time. At least the paper products can’t break!
🤣

I took a video of an explanation of why I picked up what I did but I think it’s too long and probably won’t load.
So I’ll note a few things here: For the medicine cabinet- a bottle or witch hazel (a must as I get so itchy from bug bites living here in the woods), and some plastic bandages, also a must as I needed some. Always getting small cuts.
Craft supplies: a little diamond painting kit (I’ve never done one and it’s small so won’t take up much room to display), and a small bottle of modgepodge. Double sided tape. Things I do use. A paint pallet and some watercolor pens. Ribbon for a project I’m currently working on.
Some office supplies I don’t have but do find myself wishing I had sometimes, like white copy paper. I can’t store a big thing of it like you normally have to buy but I need it for leaf rubbings and things like that now and then. So this small package is perfect for me. Some notebooks for taking observations and notes, since I have my microscope now I love to take observations of little things. Not just big things. So little notebooks come in handy for my experiments.
I did not spend much on this haul, and I can’t vouch for everything working yet but I think it will do what I need it to do. So sometimes you can find what you actually need to on a budget.
