I didn’t have anymore ducks to give…

Until now.

@ 7:45 pm, 70°F, mostly sunny, W 7 mph wind, 0” rain, moderate fire risk

My bestie who also shares this property has craved the attention of ducks ever since I had brought over my old duck from the farm. She was my last duck, an old duck, and I could not bare to give her up. Jamie instantly fell in lover with her. (Who wouldn’t? She was very charming.)

But after we lost her I decided I wasn’t ready to take on the responsibility of raising more ducks and chickens. Not when I wasn’t feeling myself mentally and physically. But now Jamie has started champing at the bit for chickens ordering them and springing it on me the other day. I was surprised and we had to hurry up and get the run, shed, and solar fencing ready. Luckily we’ve been on a bit of a break from work.

So I set things up. Today the poles for the electric netting came and I was at the feed store getting food and bedding.

And then they had a bin of ducks.

I called my bestie in hopes she would talk me out of them.

She didn’t.

So now we have ducklings.

But I still don’t have my ducks all in a row.
